I once had a friend who spent time searching for her inner wisdom. Her search lead her through a journey that changed her future. She threw away her old ways of thinking and discovered she was neglecting her dreams. She found that her inner growth was more important than the fads and popular topics that were trending in the world. She took these new views and discovered her future had more promising possibilities. She took part in new interest and pursued those she would push to the side for another day.
This isn't a new approach to finding ways to care for yourself. Normally, we view self-care as eating healthy, working out, and taking our prescribed medication or nutritional supplements. This is, of course, the beginning journey but sometimes we need more. In reality, self care begins within. Some search for spiritual connections while others focus on thinking in a more positive manner. However you plan to move forward, don't forget to map it out.
Take 5 to 10 minutes at the start of your day to journal about what makes and breaks you. It will get you looking at themes in your inner thoughts. As you re-read and perfect what you wrote, you will be able to redirect yourself and align with your true beliefs outside the hustle and bustle of our daily requirements.
