This program is specifically tailored for groups of three or more individuals who benefit from insight-oriented group therapy, as identified through referrals or their treatment plans.

What is STEPPS?

STEPPS stands for Systems Training for Emotional Predictability and Problem Solving. It is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on enhancing emotional regulation and developing effective problem-solving skills. Our program is structured to help participants gain a deeper understanding of their emotional responses and learn practical techniques to manage these responses in everyday situations.

Program Focus

The core of our STEPPS program is to provide a supportive and structured environment where participants can explore and address their emotional challenges. The group setting encourages the sharing of experiences and strategies, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere. This setup not only enhances personal insight but also promotes a sense of community among participants.

The STEPPS Program is specifically designed for individuals who exhibit signs of emotional instability and require structured intervention to enhance emotional predictability and problem-solving abilities. To participate in this program, individuals must be referred by a healthcare provider or have a treatment plan that explicitly indicates the need for insight-oriented group therapy. Here are the key exclusions and limitations to be aware of:

Referral Requirement

Only individuals who have been formally referred by a mental health professional or those whose treatment plans specifically recommend group therapy for emotional instability are eligible to join the STEPPS Program.

Group Size and Composition

·The program requires a minimum of three participants to facilitate a dynamic and interactive group setting. Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled if the minimum group size is not met.

·

The therapy is designed to cater to adults, limiting participation to individuals aged 18 and above. This focus ensures that the content and therapy techniques are appropriate and effective for an adult population.

Health Conditions Covered

The program primarily supports individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder, and similar conditions affecting emotional regulation.

Frequency and Duration of Sessions

Participants are expected to commit to the structured schedule of the program, which typically includes weekly sessions over a set period.
